PRIDE BODY PROJECT

Eating Disorder Prevention

The PRIDE Body Project (PBP) is a dissonance-based eating disorder prevention program for sexual minority men. Dr. Aaron Blashill and our team recently finished an R01 funded by the NIMHD, comparing PBP to an active control condition in Southern California through 2-year follow-up. Initial results support the efficacy of PBP, with a ~50% reduction in eating disorder onset compared to control.

PROUD TO BE ME

Eating Disorder Prevention

This program is a collaboration with the Dove Self Esteem Project, Anna Ciao & the Eating & Body Image Lab at Western Washington University, & Canvas Arts Action Program. We adapted Dove Self Esteem Programming for LGBTQ2S+ youth in Toronto Canada.

We are hoping to eventually evaluate this program with community partners in Alabama and Washington.
